Traveling with LOT Polish Airlines
LOT Polish Airlines is Poland's flag carrier, operating from Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) as its main hub. LOT is a Star Alliance member. As of 2026, LOT serves six US destinations: Chicago, New York, Newark, Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco — with San Francisco added as a new seasonal summer 2026 route (May 6 to October 22, up to four weekly flights on Boeing 787).
Warsaw is positioned as LOT's gateway between Western markets and Central and Eastern Europe, including cities in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and beyond.
LOT's US routes
LOT's established US routes connect Warsaw to Chicago (its largest US market), New York JFK, Newark, Miami and Los Angeles. San Francisco became LOT's sixth US destination in summer 2026, operated on the 787 Dreamliner. From Warsaw, travelers connect to cities across Poland and the wider Central and Eastern European region.
For travelers of Polish or Central European heritage, or those with business connections in the region, LOT's direct Warsaw routing often avoids the need to transit through major Western European hubs.
